Cookie Policy for Boligposten

Last updated: 24 September 2026

1. About this policy

This cookie policy explains how Webagent AS (Norwegian company registration no. 936 671 225) uses cookies and similar technology on boligposten.com, in accordance with electronic communications rules and the GDPR.

2. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit the website. They let us, and in some cases third parties, recognise your device and remember choices.

3. Consent

Necessary cookies are set without consent, because the service does not work without them. Everything else requires you to actively say yes in the cookie banner. No boxes are pre-ticked. You can change your choice at any time via "Cookie settings" at the bottom of the page.

4. Categories

Necessary (always set)

  • Login: keeps you logged in during the session
  • Security: protects forms against abuse
  • Cookie choice: remembers your answer in the banner
  • Your own preferences: language and display (dark or light theme) that you have chosen yourself

Analytics (consent required)

Before you give consent, we measure use of the website anonymously and without cookies: nothing is stored on your device and you cannot be identified. If you accept analytics, we set cookies that recognise you between visits, link usage to your account when you are logged in, and register how you navigate, click and move within the service to find errors and improve it. The analytics tool runs on servers in the EU. Lifetime: 12 months. Visits to agents' public pages are always counted without cookies.

Marketing (consent required)

If you accept marketing, the Meta Pixel from Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd is loaded. It sets cookies that let us measure whether our ads on Facebook and Instagram lead to sign-ups, and show you relevant ads there. In addition, we send events from our own servers to Meta when you have signed up, tried the service or taken out a subscription. These events contain your email address and phone number in hashed form (not readable plain text), the values of the Meta cookies, IP address and browser type. Meta uses this to match the event to your Facebook or Instagram account. If you decline marketing, the pixel is not loaded and we send no events about you to Meta.

Cookies from Meta:

  • _fbc: remembers which ad you clicked. Lifetime up to 90 days.
  • _fbp: identifies your browser to Meta. Lifetime 90 days.

Meta is independently responsible for what Meta does with the data after receipt. See Meta's privacy policy at facebook.com/privacy.

5. Third-party cookies

At checkout, cookies are set by our payment provider Stripe (necessary). Login uses cookies from our authentication solution (necessary). If you accept analytics, cookies are set by our analytics tool (servers in the EU). If you accept marketing, cookies are set by Meta.

6. Changing or withdrawing consent

Click "Cookie settings" at the bottom of the page and change your choice. If you withdraw consent to marketing, the pixel and the server events to Meta stop from that point; data Meta has already received is governed by Meta's rules.

7. Changes

We may update this policy. For material changes we ask for renewed consent.
